| Ann, Sister Davis and Sister Swapp with cold drinks |
The second day was spent weeding and cleaning up around the
Brigham Young home. It was one of the few hot days this month. The group of sisters got very hot and tired. Because of the heat and humidity, the sisters working on grounds usually only work until noon or 1:00 p.m.

| A welcome break with a cold drink on a hot day |
In Nauvoo, there is an elderly gentleman who periodically on hot days fills the trunk of his car with cold soda pop and drives around to the various sites and gives the missionaries a cold drink. None of the missionaries know his name. He won't give his name nor tell where he lives. All they know is that he is a member who just wants to do something for the missionaries. I (Fred) haven't seen him. However, the sisters have and that day he was a welcome sight.
