The suggestion was made that a Valentine dance for the mission be held there. The question was taken to the director of facilities who contacted the church history department in Salt Lake City for permission. The response was that if the facilities director performed an inspection of the building and determined that it was structurally sound enough, it would be alright to have a missionary dance there. The inspection was performed and request granted.

Elder and Sister Taylor who are the pageant missionaries where there taking pictures of missionaries by a window through which you could see the temple in one of the panes of glass.

It was an enjoyable evening. Everyone wore their period clothing so that those participating would be dressed like the early residents of Nauvoo. It has been awhile since we've been to a dance. However, it didn't take long to recall the steps. We had a live band. The band was the same missionaries Who played for the New Years Eve activity.
