| Nauvoo Temple Spire a sunsset |
The two photos were taken by Elder Taylor, the Pageant missionary, from his model helicopter. The above sunset photo shows the four levels of the temple spire. In the lowest level with louvered windows that look like dark windows, there are speakers which produce various sounds of a falcon every five minutes to keep birds away. The next level houses the four clocks seen on the spire. The third level is where the tower bell hangs that sounds every hour and half hour of the day. Under the top dome is where the Angel Moroni is mounted.
